TT Forest Club
Children can dive straight into the TT Forest Adventures storybooks—immersing themselves in magical scenes where characters, rhymes, and counting games unlock multiplication facts. Each “story scene” between two characters hides the secret of a times table fact, weaving imagination with problem-solving. But this page is also here for parents, teachers, and homeschoolers who want to understand the thinking behind the FUNS Method and use it effectively at home or in the classroom.
“Research shows that storytelling strengthens memory by linking information to narrative, imagery, and emotion. Combining multiple senses (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic) helps learners recall facts more reliably than rote repetition.”

How the Club Teaches Times Tables

Why FUNS Makes Multiplication Stick
- Relatable Characters – Numbers become lovable animal friends (Sixby the deer with six antlers, Sevenster the sloth with his claw shaped like a 7).
- Story Scenes – Multiplication facts live inside meaningful adventures.
- Rhymes & Clues – Playful rhythms and hints that anchor facts in memory.
- Badge Earning System – A celebration of progress and achievement.
- Forest Map – A visual anchor tying all the adventures together.
Together, these turn times tables from something to memorise into something to live, celebrate, and remember forever.

For Parents and Teachers
No extra preparation needed—just step into the adventure together!
- Read Aloud – Let children enjoy the characters and the story.
- Pause – Notice how challenges are solved (cutting seven vines, gathering berries, spinning webs).
- Create Badges – When characters earn theirs, children can make their own using our toolkit or simple drawings.
- Build a Map – Use a wall, board, or notebook to track each multiplication journey.
- Revisit Rhymes & Clues – Recall facts by returning to the playful hints in the stories.
Over time, these stories, badges, and maps weave into a joyful memory web where multiplication feels natural, playful, and unforgettable.

Activity Ideas
- In the Classroom – Build a Giant TT Forest Wall Map. Turn a wall or display board into TT Forest. Add story spots as you read them, and let students design badges to place on the map. The forest grows as the times tables grow, ending with a class TT Party celebration.
- At Home – Create a Mini TT Forest Map. Use your fridge, corkboard, or a notebook as your child’s personal map. Each time a story is read, add a drawing, sticker, or badge for that spot in the forest. Watch the map fill up as your child collects more facts and badges.
